On September 22nd, 2006, Jacques Chirac awarded Vladimir Putin with the Grand Croix Legion of honor insignia Today Putin is fighting against European values, which makes him Frances worst enemy. Therefore it is inconcevable that this dictator keeps the highest award of the French Republic. We, as French and European citizens, urge you to withdraw his Legion of honor without further delay. The honor of France is at stake.
